Mamidoneniman. 2021. This short film captures a memorial initiative and smudging ceremony for the remains of 215 indigenous children found in a residential school mass grave in Kamloops British Columbia. Since the filming of this event, other graves of children are being discovered on residential schools grounds across Canada.
Chelsea Nordiq. Short video capsule. 2021. Provision of video support for the Chelsea Nordiq community ski club. Projects range from instructional to inspirational documentaries.
De fer en art – 8 minutes (French language). 2020. Artist profile of Yvan Xavier Regout who recycles discarded railway nails and welds them into sculptures that are installed along the Chelsea Community trail /Voie Verte.
Community Deathcare Canada Swansong – 5 minutes October 2020 Community Deathcare Canada initiated a mini boat launch for their “Swan Song Festival” on October 17 to honour all those we have lost during COVID and before. Anyone across Québec was invited to build a small water craft, light a candle and launch their floating light on any river or lake in unison and at sunset.

River Art: The Legacy of Light and Land. (16mm colour and Mini DV) 46 minutes. 2005 – English. Documentary about a 60-day art expedition by canoe in the North West Territories and Nunavut. It explores our connection to land through various people met along the way or living along the shore throughout an art making journey in the Barren Lands.
Surfing the Seal. Lorsque l’eau devient le ciel (16mm colour) 45 minutes. 2002 – English and French. Documentary about the challenges and beauty experienced by a group of youth during a 40-day canoe trip along the Seal River in Northern Manitoba.
Filmmaker (cinematography, sound and editing) Bruyère Hospital – Long term and Palliative Care. Dec 2020. This video captures a Taizé prayer event dedicated to all of the residents and patients lost to COVID and during 2020.
Sahan. Somali Youth Project. (Digital Video) 20 minutes. 2013 English. Short documentary produced for PineCrest Queensway Community Health Centre in Ottawa. This film profiles several Somali Youth and Somali community leaders as they explore and express the challenge of maintaining traditional Somali culture within the contemporary and mainstream Canadian reality.
